Hey, steve, no fair! I get awakened with the news about the page 1 Washington Post story on biometrics and am already scooped by five hours. This story is a very good sign for the industry. It is being played up by the Post, and for our purposes this kind of press is only one rung below the NY Times or WSJ or the business mags. You can almost expect to see major coverage there next. The report is pretty formulaic, in that it quotes industry and privacy spokesmen. It shows a better than average understanding of the technology, although not to the depth we see posted here. One conclusion, which I share, is that some government pro-privacy legislation is needed (I doubt you will see that point in the WSJ).
