On a shared multiprocessor bus, all processors simply watch the bus. No additional latency.> Every system architecture has its own pluses and minuses. The EV6 P2P architecture was designed to handle 16+ multiprocessors in first place. An assumption that you are smarter than all corpus of DEC engineers is most likely invalid.
