THE PLAN IS WORKING REMARKABLY WELL. Excerpts from NEALZ NUZE Monday, June 21, 1999 Now you see the end-game of the Democrats and Clinton ... just as I said you would. The Democrats are crowing about their chances of regaining control of the Congress after the defeat of that gun control legislation last week. They think the vote is going to help them knock off some Republicans. This was the plan all along. Within minutes of the Harris-Klebold murders the Democrats were plotting their strategy. It was an easy step-by-step process. Create an emotional frenzy over guns through misrepresentations and lies. Present more gun control as the ONLY way to prevent more such shootings. Push to have new laws passed before the frenzy subsides and people start actually thinking. If the laws pass, claim credit. If the laws fail, blame Republicans and present them as enemies of a safe society. BULLETIN! Hey, folks. The man who led the defeat of the gun control laws was the senior Democrat in the House, John Dingell from Michigan. He said that there were enough gun control laws on the books. How does this escape the public's attention? Even though Clinton was in Europe for a G-8 meeting, he devoted his weekly propaganda address to the issue of gun control. Clinton says the Republicans "Gutted" the gun control legislation. Remember, he said the Republicans wanted to "gut" Medicare also – this was when the Republicans were proposing annual 71/2 increases in Medicare spending. So – just how did the Republicans "gut" the gun control legislation? Well – they expanded background checks to ALL purchasers at gun controls, not just those buying from licensed gun dealers. That's "gutting?" Then the evil Republicans passed a requirement that child safety locks be sold with every handgun. More gutting. Then the Republicans amended the present law to require that background checks be completed in 24 hours rather than the previous 72. Never mind that the vast majority of these checks are completed in less than one hour, let alone 24. This, my friends, was the "gutting" that Clinton referred to. So, when the details are known, Clinton's charges don't hold water. Problem is, very few people will learn those details. Why? The media, that's why. The media in this country, being basically leftist in its outlook, is highly in favor of more and more so-called gun control. They are going to present the news and mis-present the facts in such a way as to promote their agenda. In his weekly radio address Clinton said: "We can't allow the gun lobby to rewrite our laws and undermine our values." Wait a minute? Is this Bill Clinton talking about "rewriting laws?" What about Section 3501 of the Omnibus Crime Control Act of 1968? This is a law that the Clinton Administration has specifically ordered all federal prosecutors and the Solicitor General to ignore! As a result of Clinton's orders it can be shown that convicted violent felons have not been prosecuted after they were found with illegal guns! So much for Clinton's desire to keep felons from getting guns. I guess Clinton thinks it's bad to rewrite the laws, but it's perfectly OK to just ignore them. And just why don't we hear about this from the Washington and New York press corps? Hell, that one's easy. Clinton is pushing the agenda of these people! Why would they want to expose his hypocrisy? Oh, and let's not even get into his charge that the gun lobby is undermining our values. This is the President who is accused of no less than two, maybe three rapes; who had that little affair with a White House intern; who lies under oath and sees nothing wrong with it ---- and he thinks the gun lobby is undermining our values? And now for Al Gore: He said: "Why don't they just wake up and respond to what the American people want? There goes Big Al, changing our form of government. Let's turn back the clock about 150 years to the old West. Big Al (being played by that same guy who played Lurch in the Adams Family) is leading a lynch mob down the street of Tombstone, Arizona. The Sheriff stands in the door of the jail, determined to protect the prisoner until he can be taken to trial. Big Al and his mob don't want a trial. The hell with the law. They want to string him up NOW. The Sheriff tells them "no," and Big Al says "Hey, Sheriff. Why don't you just wake up and respond to what the townspeople want?" "Because," says the Sheriff. "I answer to the law, not the townspeople." NOW THIS ISN'T A BAD IDEA Got this message from a listener: "If one were to suggest to Bill Clinton that the Secret Service stop carrying guns as a way of showing that Clinton truly believes that guns are dangerous and unnecessary for self-defense, how long do you think it would be before the Secret Service would show up at your doorstep to investigate you?" Now just why would the Secret Service want to visit anyone for promoting the President's policies? WHY EVEN BOTHER TO TELL US WHAT HE SAID? We read today that Bill Clinton has rejected the idea that his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, might move to New York to strengthen her candidacy if she decides to run for the Senate. He says ''It's not true that she's going to move out of the White House." Then he talked about the plans that he and The Smartest Woman in the World have been making for over a year to move to New York when his term ends. Question: Why do newspapers even bother reporting this stuff to us? The man's a liar. He has no respect for the truth ... none. A lie crosses his lips easier than the truth. It's really not important what he does or doesn't say because every thinking American knows his word can't be trusted.
