IPO Pick of the Week

Renaissance Capital's Pick of the Week

Unquestionably Cisco (CSCO: news, msgs) is the leading provider of network routers in the world. But our IPO of the week -- Juniper Networks (JNPR: news, msgs) is hoping to eat into their market share with a faster product. Offering a next generation gigabit router with speeds up to OC-48, Juniper has already received sizable orders from major Internet carriers such as UUNET/MCI Worldcom and Verio. And with demand for high speed, broadband networks growing in leaps and bounds, the prospects for the company look very bright.

While Cisco represents formidable competition and the company has lost $50 million to date, management is experienced and the company should grow revenue substantially over the next few years.
