Mary,

RE: 30 years, John maybe even longer. Arrgh!! <ggg>. Actually I started with IBM in 1980, worked on MVS fulltime till 1995, asked management to let me work part time nights while trading stocks in 1995, they were nice enough to let me do so, and I finally left to play this game fulltime in the summer of 1997. So I'm 'only' in my forties <ggg>.

Best regards,
John

RE: "That is because most of Wintel networks (currently) have less than 100 seats and many (if not most) of the S390's serves thousands. But that will change."

Mary,

Very interesting.
