Scumbria. I have spent my life doing research. One more book on Diet will not make a diff. Yes, you are certainly right that eating fruits and vegetables are healthy as long as you don't forget other important things the body needs. Yes, we are putting too much junk into our bodies today. But let's not single out the meat industry and what has diet to do with the tea in China? The talk was about finding cures for cancer, even if some are caused by dietary woes, and just eating fruit and veggies will NOT take care of this. Have you come up with research that vegetarians don't come down with cancer? Funny to see a Basking Robbins heir coming out with a diet book. And I don't think that Stephen K. was just talking about digestive cancers. It was meant as an example. Who knows, sitting here at our cpts may be dangerous to our health and we may need a cure for that one day.

Longjevity HAS increased and is NOT due to lower mortality rates in infants. It IS due to new advancement in medical research. One day we may ALL live past 100 due to research. So, more research in the medical field would be money well spent and may be a cheap investment when you think of the benefits down the road. I can think of worse places to put money. Ever had the thought that everybody could live longer if we drove no cars and had no wars? But that does not stop us from driving a car or having wars. Same thing with a healthy diet.

Are we pleased with Intel's action today? Good Hughes story.
