Just a reminder: the Telecom Investor's article is a BEAN COUNTER's approach to obsolecence of voice switches (5ESS, Ericsson AXE, Siemens EWSD, Nortel DMS etc.).

Hi Frank,

A while back you asked about the various choices I had here in Bend for wireless ISP service. KMX is up and running and has a website here:

kmx.com

Cost: about $4,000 to install/$500/mo./1.9Mbps service. So, still more use to a commercial user than to a residential user.

I'm having some trouble tracking down info on the other vendor, High Point, and will follow up as info becomes available.
