Len, I don't think we've discussed neon as a G&K candidate (but there's been almost 3000 posts and I've run out of memory).

I joined you in adding more qcom this morning, by reducing my aol holdings. With history as my guide, this surely means aol will fly and qcom will retrace, at least for today.

Len,

I forgot to respond to your query about NEON. Sorry about that.

I haven't studied the company closely and have no idea about the stock valuation using traditional metrics. I do know that a major competitor is CrossWorlds which is still privately held and, as a result, it's difficult to make comparisons about market share and other stuff.

As for the bigger picture, the front office space is expected to be larger than the ERP space. Front office apps are much more viable if they are "talking" with back office apps. In the least, front office apps from independent makers always need to run on someone else's database, making NEON and its competitors a necessity. In other words, there's a huge, rapidly growing market for NEON and others.

I'd be interested in hearing from you and anyone who has studied NEON in context of "the manual."
