ISSI Introduces Industry's First 24-bit Wide ASYNC SRAM With 8ns Access Time
Devices Designed for Fast Growing High-Speed DSP Market
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move to address the burgeoning high-speed DSP market, Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISSI - news) today introduced a family of very high speed CMOS SRAMs, including the IS61LV12824, the semiconductor industry's only 8ns 128K X 24 asynchronous SRAM. Other new additions to ISSI's high speed asynchronous SRAM product line announced today are the 8ns IS61LV256 (32K X 8) and the 9ns IS61LV6424 (64K X 24). All devices are designed using ISSI's advanced 0.25-micron process technology and feature low power consumption in both active and standby modes.

The IS61LV12824 supports 100MHz DSP applications and is an ideal replacement for three 128K X 8 devices. This one-chip solution lowers power consumption, reduces testing time, saves board space and increases reliability.

''With the high-speed DSP market being one of the fastest growing segments in the industry the demand for high-speed SRAMs is increasing,'' said Tom Doczy, ISSI's vice president of sales and marketing. ''The close partnerships and process development agreements we have fostered with our foundry partners over the past 10 years enables us to quickly bring to market advanced memory technology for applications using high-speed DSPs, such as the telecom and networking markets.''

Under ISSI's fab/fabless manufacturing strategy, the design and process engineering development expertise at ISSI is coupled with the manufacturing and process capabilities of its foundry partners.
