Apparently, institutions are active this morning and they are taking advantage of the short sale and scoop up the shares.

i am trying to figure this out. watching lvl 2, there are 20k shares at 22 1/8, although the ask amount (number of shares) has been much less. with all the sells into 22 1/8 coming in small 1k and below lots. we had on friday also, where lehm (so far not today) would sit on the bid just sucking up thousands and thousands of shares before finally moving the stock higher.

are they playing tricks again on the pinkies? let them short into them so they can purchase at lower prices and then snap back the price again? interesting to see how many shares they are sucking up though.

Just out of curiosity, how on earth could you surmise that institutions are taking advantage of the short selling? That assumes that:

1) There is short selling
2) That they are watching a conehead like Mr. Pink who revealed a short selling strategy on the internet
(not a wise move if he is a true short selling shark)

I think you guys are giving Mr. Pink way too much credit here. If you believe that a person or persons are selling short you should consider taking your stock in certificate form and buying more. Both apply pressure on shorters if done by the masses.

on friday it was crazy the way people tried to sell to keep the price of idtc from 22.5 and then trying to bring it back to 22.5. we shall if you are correct on institutions using this as an opportunity to pruchase low. how long before one side blinks?
