The "sponsored by Datek" is a link not a banner ad.
If you want to see a banner ad lunch a new browser go to SI home page and enter a stock symbol.

Ah... I see, that after all, there is a problem defining "what is is"

So, I am glad I never said it was a banner advertisement.... go back and read my post. What I said was that, it was an advertisement... but you can call it "Pancho", I do not care. It still is an advertisement....

I fill that the "sponsored by Datek" link is about a non-extrusive as an ad can be.

Well, you may fill your cup with moonshine, which will allow you to feel as though and advertisement, is not... well... and advertisement....

But it is an advertisement... and frankly... what's wrong with allowing me to turn it off....

Consider, that if you force me to look at it.... all you are doing is making me HATE, the damned Datek... So it actually works in a contraproductive way.... why force something on someone who is convinced, I do not need ?

It is contraproductive.

And adds to the revenue stream of our beloved GNET.

Irrelevant... (besides, I would not "love" any stock if I were you, but that is also irrelevant to the issue of the advertisement.)

It's a smart move by PA by spending Datek ad moneys to another company he has a large investment in "taking money out of one pocket and placing it in the other”.

Irrelevant, and repetitive.

Once again, all I am requesting is the ability to turn it off.

Edit....

If you want to see a banner ad lunch a new browser go to SI home page and enter a stock symbol.

Surely... you mean launch don't you ?

I think "lunching a new browser" would probably give me indigestion... <g>
