Stock Contest - with prizes.

I contacted Sergio in hopes of inviting you all to a stock contest that is being run by Dorsey Wright and Associates. You do not have to be a Point and Figure person or subscribe to DWA to enter the contest.

Here are the rules etc.

We are now accepting registrations for the next stock picking contest. This contest will start July 1st 1999 and run until September 2nd 1999.

The selection criteria is as follows:
6 unique positions -3 long and 3 short - we will be investing
$10,000 in each
There are no sector restrictions
All stocks must be above $5
There is no buying and selling during the contest. The selections are fixed for the duration of the contest.

The registrations and stock selection must be conducted on line by 4pm EST on July 1st. You do not have to be a DWA customer or Internet subscriber to play so if you know someone who would like to play they are welcome! You can log in each day and see how you are doing against the "field." It's a lot of fun and we will be doing more of these contests in the future.

There will be interviews taken of the top participants and prizes awarded (don't know what they are yet) at the end of the contest.

Here is what you do:
Go to dorseywright.com
On the right hand side with a green arrow you will see "Contests". Click in there and you will find the registration process. You will want to select the "long and short contest".

As an FYI... One of the Point and Figure thread participants, X-Joe-O, is in the lead of our first contest! He has done extremely well in this market sideways movement. If you get a chance, congratulate him!

Others in the contest will be industry professionals and participants of SI.

I hope to see you all there and best of luck! If you have any questions please contact me. If you have any technical difficulties with registering, contact jay@dorseywright.com. He is handling the technical stuff as well as the rules.
