Live @Techstock '99... JAMES BROWN JUST TOOK THE STAGE BY STORM!(assuming it was part of the act but with him you never know)... six of his pimphat BigBoys just let their spikecollared rottweilers on chains thick enough to tie-Godzilla-down Clear The Stage Snarling and Growling, Preparing The Way For The Grand Entrance Of The Godfather Of Soul... In his white satin suit and a leopard leather cape; got the Big Fro and the platform shoes, got the Blues Brothers shades with rhinestones.... is it really him? Yes, it's him. While one flunky helps James Brown shrug his bad self from out his cape, another sprays his face & hands lightly with water, while another gives him a quick back massage and the other 3 set up his equipment The Way He Wants It and squeeze him a glass of orange juice. This all takes place in about the time of one of his songs... Dude Is Organized! James starts off his set with "a dedication to my fans waitin' on the summer rally, a lil ole thanga mine like to call it The Big "PAYBACK" (it's comin' an dats a fact, get ready for The Big Payback)....then "HOT PANTS".... then the Crowd Goes Wild for "IT'S A MAN'S WORLD" then it's "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (Baby Please Don't Go)" and then it's The James Brown Version of "TWIST AND SHOUT" that's Bleeve-U-Me Nothing I Mean NOTHING Like You've Ever Seen It Done Before But More Like You Always Wished It Would Be. If I said everyone in the audience had all their clothes on by now, I'd be lying. (Don't ask....) Born To Be Wild's Got NOTHING On This Guy! Doctors in Lab Coats with Big Nets ready for trouble calm down James Brown and help him off the stage after his show. The crowd goes wild, he tries to break loose to Please 'em with just one more, but his keepers announce He's Had Enough For Now, But He'll Be Back... and Y'All R2 Rally On!!!!!!!
