I understand that people have their sports preferences. However, imo, certain events transcend the sport being played. For instance, how many of us are speed skating loyal supporters on a weekly basis...but the olympics can inspire an interest with a good story and a gritty battle, or a human interest element. Well...the US Open yesterday was such an event. A well fought battle all the way around. Very inspiring. Ok. Now you can throw the tomatoes <g>
