CSCO could be playing a catch up game....That is incomprehensible for management!!!

Similar to the argument bears were using back when gigabit ethernet was out. Cisco was "behind". The problem was, the market just wasn't there yet for gigabit ethernet. Total sales were less than $100 million. CSCO came out with their gigabit, and now who has a commanding lead of the market? Oh yea, Cisco....

Same old game MM. Competitors come out with a technology. Bears point this out. Cisco brings out theirs, eats the competitions lunch. I don't know if this will happen again in this case (since I don't have a crystal ball), but I'm betting with my CSCO shares that it does.....

JMO,
Justin

RE:2. The very recent critical TGX core switch flop. CSCO lost a lot of new product credibility on that one. There is no reassurance CSCO can come up with a Tbit router that will match the standards of Juniper's next generation Tbit router after the M40. The TGX was a generation behind and that's why CSCO decided to scrap it. CSCO could be playing a catch up game on their own turf: the work horse router. That is incomprehensible for management!!!

Juniper's Standards?

You did see techstocks.com right?
