Just for people reading. PCQuotes is software that runs off the internet and is not browser based. They provide realtime quotes, depth, news for all the major exchanges and futures markets. You can install the software on several computers (e.g. home/work).

The price is $385 plus exchange fees for the system. Exchange fees are $12 for TSE price/depth, $9 of NY realtime and $79 for Level II and realtime. Total cost $485 plus tax. They say they have bench tested against all competitors in Canada and blow them all out of the water. Of course I haven't got PCQuotes yet so I can't comment but from what I have heard from people using PCQuotes it is more reliable and faster than CSW or any other service.

If you are trading with Schwab you can sign up for single click trading. You just click on the bid or ask in PCQuotes and your trade gets process (I am assuming after you fill in the amounts and price?). The cost is $30U.S ($45Can.) per 5000 shares for U.S stocks ($90 round trip). For Canadian stocks it is $30 a ticket for trades under $40,000 and $40 a ticket for trades over $40,000.

Wayne...now that you are using the software...do you have anything to add? If you make several trades in the same direction (e.g 3 buys of $10,000) do you only get charged $30?

Best Regards
KEITH
