Re: Barron's claim that Softbank SFTBF = ADR. Linda, thank you very much for pointing this out. Yeah, us folks over at the SI:Softbank thread already discussed this confusing statement from Barron's. SOFTBANK does NOT have an ADR. Just for reference, here's one of our posts clarifying:

SFTBF is an OTC BB *clearing symbol* (i'm not sure technically what that means), not an ADR. Apparently, domestic brokers seeking to place an order of Softbank with an overseas market maker have to use this symbol to get through to them.

Check out this CBS Marketwatch article that clarifies, according to a Lehman Bros. analyst, Softbank will probably issue an ADR within 12-18 months (they are in the process of cleaning up their financials for GAAP pre-listing requirements).

Lehmnan Bros. analyst Ravi Sarathy will become the "Henry Blodget of Asia" according to one Softbank investor...

Startling article, when reading what Sarathy was saying (*cough* free money *cough*)...

*OT* Netconductor, in last week's Barrons it said Softbank is sold as an ADR over
the counter under the symbol SFTBF. I was going to check it out myself, if you have
any luck, please let me know. Linda
