WILLIAMSBURG, Va., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- TV onthe WEB, the first interactive, community-based television network on the Web and a strategic partner of Ampex Corp. (Amex: AXC), together with PSINet, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSIX) will produce the LIVE webcast of First Meeting of the Federal Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce to take place on June 22nd from 8:30am- 5:30pm ET at www.tvontheweb.com

VA Governor James Gilmore is hosting this first meeting at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. The Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce (ACEC) was created by Congress to study federal, state, local and international taxation and tariffs on transactions using the Internet and Internet access. The commission's 19 members include three of our nation's governors, heads of several major information technology corporations and other government and business leaders from across the nation.

This commission is tasked with producing what is arguably the most important policy initiative of the information age. Its recommendations on the critical issues of electronic commerce and tax policy will have global implications.

"We're pleased to have been selected to webcast this important event," stated Dave Gardy, chairman and co-CEO of TV onthe WEB. "With e-commerce so integral to the growth of the Internet, it's important that the Commission's activities are accessible to the general public."

This is the second LIVE webcast that TV onthe WEB has produced for Governor Gilmore.
