blokker,

I can't say that I know VHSN, and frankly I don't really care about that company.

However, I have followed MSU for some 3 years+, been through the good, the bad, and ugly with them... loved them, hated them, and then cautiously fooled around with them.

After what I perceive was a major change of mindset and determination on the part of management, as well as the renewed interest in the set-box market, I just happen to think there is a place for their technology out there.

Even if they don't wind up being a WebTB, or Scientific Atlanta (and not saying they won't), there are still some 60-70% of the American public who have not participated in the internet, but would quite likely do so were they not burdened with learning complicated o/s' like Winbloze98.

So while I'm hopeful that MSU's joint-venture with Shanghai Thakral (ST) will assist them with penetrating the Chinese marketplace, were that to lag, I'd feel rather confident that other company's would share that problem as well. Doing business in China is best done under a JV as the Chinese authorities then have a vested interest in providing allowances to ST in order to promote employment opportunities in the region. (Chinese unemployment estimated at above 10%).

Currency exchange issues are quite likely the furthest thing from MSU's mind (They are for me). Any problems they face will be faced by any other company dealing in China, and more so if they are not hooked up with a Chinese JV partner.

And having a foot in the door to a potentially lucrative Chinese E-commerce market, in a country more interested in setting up a nationwide "intranet", than permitting millions of independent computers to become potentially subversive web-hosts, may lead to interesting possibilities.

So given that your analysis once more proves somewhat lacking (did you write that Stuck Dickfective article?), is there any other angle you would care to explore?

Again, there is no doubt that MSU has to finally come through on the "goods" with regard to their very optimistic press release. Where we seem to stand is whether there will be a repeat of 3 years ago, or is this company finally getting its act together.

That is the decision investors/shorters have to make.

And folks know where I've placed my bet.

Regards,

Ron
