You are absolutely right, a short position and a put are different but they both are negatively effected by a rising stock price, thus my comments earlier.

I am a RMBS junkie and in all seriousness, when she gets in one of these moods coupled with the high short interest, it can get scary, and I have a feeling that we have already "lit this candle" for a while.

The move is probably based upon PC Expo news and it usually trades down as the Expo ends or the next week after the show has ended. So a short position might be entered at those times.

But remember, this is one wild stick of dynamite!! Buyer Beware!
