what would one expect from a scientist

I do have an undergraduate science degree, though I consider myself an engineer. The difference can be explained by this story:

Put a boy on one side of a room, and a girl on the other. Ask the boy to move half way to the girl, half way again, half way again, etc.

Does the boy ever get to his destination? The scientist says "no". The engineer says "close enough".
