Carl,

One better than that is that MU is not permitted to depreciate equipment, buildings etc if it is not used to run the business or manufacture the products.

I think they would be in real trouble if they depreciated Lehi to reduce their tax liability.:-)

carl, you aren't rude. i do need an accounting course to argue the details eloquently. the basic point is that mu management stretches the limits of accounting for personal gain. in this case it isn't cash flow, it is inflated eps - and taxes.
