Well, I haven't had much luck trading short term, so I'm trying to work on my technical signals. Still, I've lost twice as much trading short term (on a percentage basis) than I've gained investing and holding. When I tried short term trading, I was incredibly successful at first, only to fall flat on my face since I couldn't read the market properly. As a result, I've realized I'm better at reading fundamentals, gauging trends, and investing for the long haul.
