supposedly they are going to a one chip model...TI stopped making the 2-chip light engines...

It is still a great set...
By far the best thing to have come of that investment...never had any troubles...and have always thought that it was a good buy ...(even at 10k)

Really quite a good product...
too bad they couldn't get their act together...

Don't know about HDTV upgrade yet...was supposed to be a add in card
but with all the changes haven't bothered to check if they are still supporting that...

My cable company started digital boxes and displayed on DLP digital display is QUITE a picture ...same with DVD...

Haven't seen anything match the light output so far...

VERY happy overall...
