The following was copied from Raging Bull. It seems that this may be more trouble than it is worth. I read it to mean that we get put into a lottery and are NOT guaranteed anything, am I missing something?

Your code number will be on a letter created(?)by CMGI and delivered to you via mail from your broker. I got mine from Schwab. As far as the problems with eligibility, my understanding is that as long as you owned 100 shares by 6/15/99, live in US, yada, yada, yada you are eligible to apply to participate. (lots of hurdles just to get you to the table) After that you need to open a cash account with Wit Capital for the right to be selected to buy. For those of you who think you have eligibility problems because to the type of account you have I don't believe it matters. I have a Roth IRA that has my CMGI and my soon to be valuable ENGA will be in a straight cash account. The tax problem will only concern me if I sell(long time from now!). I don't claim to know it all so I think more dialog will help clarify matters. Anyone scanning CMGIOT? Maybe they have a better handle on this. <<
