In regards to temperatures....GLE has been able to bring temperature of their SOFC from 800/850C down to 650C...I think.
Ballard runs about 100 to 200C...This higher temp, is what makes a SOFC more efficient than a PEM cell....Also..this higher temp. will allow natural gas...methanol....possibly gasoline and diesel to be used directly with out having a additional reformer to strip hydrogen out of the fuel....like a Pem needs...raisin

Okay!Okay!I'll spill the beans.Give me some patience please.PEM cell technology doesn't fit into the picture as well as a SOFC cell.Perhaps smaller PEM's will replace lawn mower engines,or laptop power packs.I only will be posting on this thread intermittently. I hope to exhibit the conclusion I've arrived at after a year's study of Global Thermoelectric, and 30 years of playing with various piping systems.I jumped onto the board recently because I didn't think it was fair that there is an implied vested interest in supporting an expensive infrastructure change, when as a nation we can't maintain the one we have now.I only own this stock and intend not to sell, I don't know how high it will fly but I do think Global Thermoelectric will be around well into 21st. century. Later.

Ballard is definitely not the leader in fuel cells since they do not
even commericially sell them yet. The only company currently selling
fuel cells commercially, are International Fuel Cells and Onsi.
Their FCs are working producing power worldwide and in outerspace.
They are not just testing like Ballard currently is.

Is there any other company challenging "Ballards Global Leadership?" Out of the 30 companies, others must have had successfull beta testing and has made preparations in the global business community to have the application put to the test. If not, I would say were definately in running for 2nd.
