My brother-in-law has done this in Alaska, but if I remember correctly, the kids have to first attend a public university in Alaska, before they can come to the lower 48 for their last two years to one of the exchange schools. I could be mistaken as it's been years since we talked about it. Virginia has such excellent public schools, this is a wonderful option for you. We also wanted the boys to be able to get out of Texas if they choose.
