lrrp,

My reasons for selling:

1. With the increase in prices, I'm much too much overweight in the sector.

2. I also was carrying more margin than I preferred. I like to have some firing power should there be a significant pullback.

3. I'm still annoyed somewhat with Mihir for his Asyst Automation shenanigans.

So that's why I shed ASYT as opposed to another holding. Shedding 1 stock rather than parts of several saves on commissions even with discount brokers. ... and I hate paying unnecessary commissions.

I have no idea if or when the Street will decide that this sector is overvalued. On the other hand, I'm certain that this sector and ASYT as well will substantially outperform the "market" during the next 2+ years.

I tend to give timely disclosure of my holdings (as opposed to repetitive disclosure). Up until my last post here, all others were as a shareholder. The last post was my first one on this thread as an interested bystander.

If ASYT pulled back sufficiently, I'd use some of my newfound fire power to load up again. The company's prospects are still, IMO, outstanding.

So that's the long answer to your fairly straightforward question.

Ian.
