It seems to me that CTXS is situated in a good position to be the early benefactor of the asp surge, since it is supplying the asp with its product. Even if many of the ASPs don't make it CTXS will have made change on their attempts, and will continue to profit from the successful ones.

I'd like to clarify something MikeM wrote, not for his benefit, but for those who may not understand this stuff as much as he does.

That market is small business who never could afford the big package and big machines it used to take to run the ERP software.

The big packages and hardware are still necessary. The economic issue is that a small business doesn't have to make the huge upfront investment. With the advent of the ASP industry, small business can use the pay-as-you-go method that eliminates the need for the large, initial cash outlay.
