Do you think that this means we will gain $2-$3 tomorrow? Seems likely to me.

The article does not state emphatically that the GBLX deal is completed. Hmmmmm....

I think this is very unfortunate. Both USW and FRO have not said "no" or "yes." Now we have to wait to see if Qwest sweetens the deal, which is what both boards have tacitly said. I don't expect Qwest to do well tomorrow unless this clears up. Nacchio and Anschultz want USW, so upping the ante may be in the cards. Based upon our previous experience, this will cause a drop.

Nacchio wants USW for the customer base and the DSL build out. He wants FRO to stop GBLX, which he considers Qwests greatest threat.

Hopefully Nacchio has some partners lined up for just such an emergancy. Many have questioned why Nacchio has not made his stratagy clear or why he said " this is what I'll bid and no more." Come on, when bidding for something do you pre-announce to everyone what your highest bid will be? I am hoping BLS is in the mix somewhere with some additional cash. If so, really good. If not, well, we may feel the next kick in the groin. But perhaps the shareholders that have stuck by are in the majority now and the short termers have left the field.
