<< He may be fooling people at home but he's really made a mess of relationships with Russia. >> Clinton messed up our relationship with Russia by not bowing to their demands concerning our foreign policy. What would you do, check with the incompetent thugs in Russia before making foreign policy decisions? << The trivializing of Russian power is a dangerous thing, indeed. >> There has to be a balance between "trivializing" and acquiescing to the demands of rougue nations. Do you feel that America should change it's policies and principles each time Russia shakes it's nuclear weapon card? << This game isn't over and for you to gloat now is only going to make your humiliation greater if and when the whole thing unravels. >> Gloating!? Who is gloating? I feel that NATO has done a wonderful thing. I am amazed that free world nations banded together to stop genocide, and to do battle against tyranny. If this is gloating then you are accusing Americans of gloating when we defeated Hitler's tyranny. This is a great victory, IMHO. It is a victory of principle. Nations never band together unless it is directly in their national interests. Of course the NATO countries have an interest in a peaceful neighborhood. But, for NATO to provide food, shelter, water and medical help to hundreds of thousands of refugees, while beating back the tyrants and murderers that would have committed genocide upon the Kosovo Albanians, is a wonderful historic acheivement that should have a positive effect on this world. "If this thing unravels"? It almost sounds as if you are wishing for failure. Why? And, why should you be concerned about my humiliation? Who cares how I feel? The important issues are world peace and compassion towards others. NATO had two great victories, the military victory against the Serbs and the humanitarian victory for mankind! << In any event, to gloat any time after the fact of war is inhuman - to borrow your own word. >> Call it gloating, if you so desire. There is no gloating on my part. I just feel great about what NATO has done. To save so many people from genicide is a wonderful thing to behold. God speed NATO and President Clinton on their humanitarian mission!
