<<Thanks for reminding us Susan.. now we need another Paul Allen! too bad msft bought into firefly which is kind of a competing product.. maybe if we can get IBM to take a look at us :) >>

internetwiz: I think Paul Allen invested in "the right company" in NETP's marketspace. I have heard from from friends who understand net technology that Firefly's technology was WAY BEHIND NETP's when the company was bought. Microsoft has so many things going on that they aren't focussing on the personalization marketspace -- yet. My hunch is that NETP's CEO wants to continue to build alliances for distribution (currently they are partnered with great firms like IBM and Broadvision) and maintain his firm's independence. Yet, I'm sure Net Perceptions would carefully consider very credible and substantial buyout offers from firms like CMGI or IBM (or possibly even MSFT <G>)...IMO, the ideal scenario would be for Paul Allen to significantly boost his stake in our company. That would send a message to institutional investors. We would then need to add in some BIG deals / alliances with leading global net players (like AOL, Yahoo, eBay, Excite-@home, DELL etc..).

I'll be patient. We still have a market cap. that is well under $500 million and a tremendous amount of untapped potential.

Best Regards,

Scott
