Have seen many reasons given for today's move, but IMO the biggest reason is the delayed reaction to the one-on-one presentations made by Russell et.al. to institutional investors in New York prior to the Paine Webber conference. At that time, the internets were very shaky, and even if they were impressed (which I believe they were), they were not about to buy until some upward momentum developed. That obviously happened and today represented two or more elephant investors trying to get through the door at the same time. Also, let's not forget that June 30 is a quarter-end which these institutions report actual holding to their shareholders and the public. Thus quarter-end "window dressing" could add additional upward pressure to the post split shares.

Respectfully,
MarX
