SDMI will never fly

Why? The internet has a big white brush that is wiping out the all the middle men who provide no value-added service to their products. That big sucking sound comes to mind.

Let us all watch while the RIAA is whited-out of existence.

Oh, there'll be a "standard" that comes out of SDMI, but no one will care. As soon as they start losing some of the big name groups, it will snowball.

Minor Home Page Changes?...I was reviewing the Wave home page and noticed the following changes in the "Corporate Partners" section. In this section there is a new sub-category 'Wave Systems Relationships'. This is broken down into two sections 'Strategic' and 'Content'.

Under 'Strategic', some of the "Corporate Partners" are listed as well as some of the names mentioned in recent press releases but not all the "Corporate Partners" are included in this new section.(Absent are IBM and NEC.) Hypothesizing for a moment, it's as though the 'Strategic' firms listed under Wave Systems Relationships have inked a final deal with Wave. Or this could just be unfinished/unproofed web page additions.

Thoughts or am I just searching for news where there isn't any?
