Truff: These shorts gotta be getting a little hot under the collar with their "investment" in RMBS. Guess that's why their calling Herb...TheStreet.Com...and Alan Abelson...and others. I suspect that I'd be getting a bit nervous here too, as a short squeeze is not entirely out of the question. As a trader, I live for such squeezes...but as an "investor"? Such a squeeze is probably not in the best interest of long term investors, as it could easily draw in a whole new "crowd" of institutional shorts.

we need to send herb a copy of dataquests estimates of total dram sales:

1999-$22.4 billion
2000-$35.5 billion
2001-$60.1 billion
2002-$104.3 billion

using herb's numbers, i get $2,086,000,000 in 2002 rmbs earnings.
that is $83.44 per share "earnings" assuming 25 million shares.
and he seems to think we are rabble-rousers...shoot, his projections are a few cents higher than mine.
unclewest
actually i think he meant to say revenues.
