$10 M order. Wow. I wonder if Mattson has ever had an order that big.

And for CVD. That's really nice. This truly is no longer a one-product company, when they get a $10 M order for CVD.

The feature where the same chamber can process 200 and 300 mm wafers is also really nice.

Anyone know the average selling price for an Aspen III?

"an order in excess of 10 million dollars for multiple Aspen III CVD systems from a major DRAM manufacturer"

So this would be how many systems? And how many systems would a big DRAM fab need? How about a guess as to who the DRAM company is?

"The company estimates it will have more than 20 Aspen III systems installed by the end of 1999"

Some of these are just strip, I assume. How many CVD or RTP?

This is fantastic news! I wish I'd loaded up the way Ian did :-)

Nick

Do you or John have a guess as to the announcement you quoted today; could this be a way into IBMs chips, using mtsn 300
mm CVD equipment from infineon?
thanks,

Steve
