I can hear Mr. Scroeder at Diamond now. Mr. Dell we can no longer sell Nvida boards to you. Mr Dell, you mean I have to switch again to another vendor. Why don't I just switch over to TDFX and STB.

S3 questions..

Will S3 sell future chips primarily to Dimd? Will Dimd continue to manufacture cards using other chipsets? (is there a CC? )

Will Creaf buy nvidia? Will this complete the "big four" transition to an integrated model? And when will they announce?

S3 does have a leg up with their model in that they now have fab space (UMC)... chip, fab, and board... have not decided how benefitial this is yet. Yes you have more readily available access, but you also have the costs associated with new technology (shrunk) fabrication processes.

It's my perception that OEM's like stability in both product and support. 3dfx has successfully integrated with minimal negative effect. Will the likely of OEM wins increase immediately as s3/diamond and potentially creative/nvidia undergo similar transformations?

I think this is a definate shakeout of the smaller players in the graphics arena, it can be said that this has been going on for the last couple years but I think this is the BIG shake. The next 6 months 3dfx should be able to regain a little ground in the OEM arena and depending on what the next gen product is and when it is announced, this should pretty validate many of my reasons for buying and holding this stock for the last 2 years.
