Lots of good work has been done on the nations rivers but there are still old chemicals in the silt that catfish would pick up.

The Cuyahoga River in Cleveland was once so polluted it caught fire and melted a bridge. Lake Erie wasn't fit to swim in. Both were cleaned up so well that Erie became a walleye factory. The problem now is zebra mussels are making the water too clean.
