G'day all - hi, elmatador, my memory is fuzzy but people - including you - have seen this coming, i.e., the breakup. However, I doubt the "come together" is a subliminal message a la Fleetwood Mac [so the story goes: the 2 couples - ex-couples now - would use their songs to communicate with each other.] I mean, the doubt was placed even before the marriage. What surprised everyone is not DH leaving but him dutifully folding datanetworking into Nortel OOH and emphasizing JR as the supreme commander OTOH - and the successful integrity of BAY and NT is the greatest surprise of them all. Why did it surprise people? It is b/c the high tech world in general and SV in particular are filled with bravado and superEgo. No matter what has happened underneath the surface, kudos to DH for showing some class.

Sure, personally, I had hoped DH might one day ascend. Reality is that not only DH may be happier with the rough and tumble world of SV but also BCE has 41% of NT [I was surprised Mr Frank Calucci is the [celemonial] chairman though.]

best, Bosco
