As Nasdaq turns green for the first time today. . .

Last post I touched on Set-top box makers and said that I thought sell-off would not last. Since then our MIPS, TERN and GIC have turned around dramatically. MIPS was down 3 and is now up over 3. TERN was down 2 and is now on the plus side. And GIC was down 2 and is now down 1 1/4. I am liking MIPS lots. . .and may still increase on the breakout. . . as it follows BRCM.

Big mistake. . . .due to being on vacation past 2 weeks. . .I did not anticipate the amount of coverage the PC Expo would get by CNBC. I believe that many issues are getting bid up hard at this time. . . but due to their HIGH floats, are taking their time showing their gains. . . .these include CPQ and IOM [CEO on CNBC next]. . . which I certainly would not have sold, had I anticipated the amount of hype CNBC would be giving this Expo. Also included in this PC Expo hype fest are SGI, HWP, ADBE, etc.

Impressed by Corel's booth there. . . remember their new office suite is available on Linux. . . which has not yet seen the hype from CNBC. I don't know what happened to their symbol. . .was COSFF. . .now it appears to be CORL. . . but I cannot seem to verify for some reason.

CPQ is blowing me away. . . and I attribute it totally to their display at PCExpo impressing investors. . . they were getting into mobile and wearable PCs in a big way. . . . .

We need to get a better pulse on this Expo and see if we can isolate one or two issues that are impressing attendees, but have yet to be noticed by investors. . . .Wearables? Mobile?

Also watch some of the tiny issues like BND, AXC, BDE, TELT, XYBR, etc.

We have seen some serious gains over the past week. Don't be afraid to take profits. . . .I think that by Thursday/Friday, we will be back to red.
