Just to clarify, the 'suffering' (as Kirk calls it!) of the bobbrinker.com website is so severe, that it just posted its busiest weekend of all time!

Kirk, looking at part of the post for which my DUH was directed

"Look at it this way, every time every one of us on this thread logs on to read these messages, we are making the case that the Internet is something more then a fleeting investment fad."

To me that suggested that I don't see the internet as an incredible life changing event for the world something I have never stated or implied because I believe it is all that and so stated. I perhaps get irritated because that deflects from the issue I thought we were discussing which was whether most or many internet stocks are good investments at this time. As I thought I pointed out railroads and automobiles telephones, television and radio were also life changing events in many cases creating an explosion in companies with exponentially increasing stock prices but in fact most companies eventually collapsed from extreme valuation and failure to become the one or two businesses that ended up succeeding. in the long run and without hindsight it was extremely difficult to know which would simply collapse in price for a while but eventually succeed.

Marc

Kirk,

>>>
It is Justa and Lar's thread so If they banish discussion of the most profitable area of the market from this thread, then we can respect that. I have tons of general internet discussion threads on my site for those that wish to discuss it ( see suite101.com ) but many intelligent posters with good writing skills such as Justa, I2, the King of France, etc. have great overall thoughts and this is a good site to read them.

Hmmm. We have to stop this free advertising. Then again we don't want any profits. HA!
