I've seen a lot of announcements of CEO's departing a company, but I've never seen one like this before.

Usually they are written so that the company thanks the CEO for all his contributions, and reporting that he left to pursue other interests or some similar rubbish. If the CEO isn't quoted in the article, you can assume he was fired, and that's about the only hint you get.

In this case, not only was Dunavant not quoted, but the company all but said that he was fired because he was a maggot who made the whole place stink.
