dbmaven, thanks. I understand and have understood that for some time. I apparently did misunderstand that the only cure for "the slightest speck" problem was to operate in a completely automated environment. It just seems the risks of dropping a cassette or jiggling or whatever could be mitigated by providing workers with appropriate handling tools and procedures, that it was generally a less compelling reason to invest in advanced robotics than a total ban on humans would be. Ian implied AYST has a local environment solution to the air purity problem which on the surface makes a lot of sense, though I'm curious about how they maintain it inter-bay or whatever the jargon is. I have not had the time to check into it and was hoping someone would elucidate.
