New digital recorder announced by Olympus and L&H. I wonder if
they are using an OS inside, and if so which one. Can't wait to
see what we are building for INTC! Noticed there was no mention
of flash memory for this device.

One approach might be to create "music vaults" on the internet that consumers would use to contain their purchased music.

This could be the equivalent of an e-mail site that consumers would access anytime they wanted to hear a particular piece of music. You could purchase it at any music e-commerce site, have it transferred to your private music vault, then download it any time thereafter.

This would reduce the time spent downloading and searching for music on your home system.

But to work, you need very high speed delivery over a broadband, and probably wireless access to your personal internet music vault.

Interesting article on voice dictation software. Says the current
crop of products fall far short.
