Cirruslvr,

Re: "That is waaaaaay out there. if, if, if... Imagine the possibilities..."

And IF it doesn't happen ?? ... Isn't AMD supposed to announce the K7 in June ?? <ggg>
Sounds like a very "creative" excuse to me.

Make It So,

Cirrsuslvr:

The contents of this article sound farfetched but i would not be surprised to see dell line up for the the k7 at some point in some way. It seems to me that M. Dell did not get where he is by not taking advantage of all the possibilities. In today's pc world unnecessary loyalty is a luxury that none of these companies can afford.

Along similar lines I thought you might be interested in comments made today by Briefing.com re. intc's latest downgrade which occurred this am by Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette. "Though intc had a nice run late last year, we have been arguing for better than a year that intc is not the place to be in the tech sector. We looked wrong for a quarter, but take a look at the charts and you see that intc has been dead money by tech sector standards...)". Someone needs to tell the intc longs who think they are doing well by intc.

cirexlvr. Bottom line is any boxmaker without a k-7 productline will have a tuff time selling that old Intel technology based boxes at high prices. If Dell is in, and I have good reason to beleive he is, it's the final feather is AMD cap, and further confirmation of what a great chip the K-7 is.
