I'm not sure how to determine what is "high" and what is "low" institutional ownership. For instance CTXS is 83% owned by institutions, and that's pretty high by almost anybody's definition. Maybe the best way is to compare inside industries , and here Nokia is 24% institutionally owned. Recent price action could suggest that the whole cell phone group is under owned by institutions, who are just beginning to catch on to the potential. Since institutions dominate today's markets their support is usually needed for price run ups.

Not re fund ownership, but in the July issue of Money, according to a National Association of Investors Corporation poll of member clubs, Q is #100 in a list of the top 100 stocks, ranked by number of clubs holding a stock. Was actually hoping the Q was a little more incognito than this, for awhile anyway.
