Confirms Receipt of $8.7 Million Contract Business Editors and High-Tech Writers NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 1999--Satellite Control Technologies (OTC BB:SATX) DebitFone division confirms receipt of a contract for $8,750,000 plus additional revenue from the sale of additional Debit Phones, Air Time and Accessories. Based on DebitFone projections the average customer will purchase an additional "60" minutes of air time per month from DebitFone. This along with supplying the vending machines with additional Debit Phones and Accessories will increase the value of the contract to DebitFone by an additional $12,000,000 in sales volume. Under terms of the agreement, 1,200 DebitFone machines will be delivered over the next 24 months at the rate of 50 machines per month. Each Debitfone machine comes with 20 pre-paid Debit Phones for an initial total of 24,000 pre-paid debit phones. Industry sources value each cellular customer at between $300 to $1,000 based on the length of time the customer has been active on the cellular system. This customer valuation will be added to the overall net worth of the company. DebitFone will commence shipping the first machines within the next few weeks, complete with cell phones programmed with 30 minutes of air time, a personal phone number, fully charged battery and battery charger. Suggested retail price per phone is under $80.00. For the first time, pre-paid cellular phones can now be distributed "FOR SALE" through vending machines, in national retail chains such as video stores, auto part stores, check cashing facilities, college book stores, warehouse clubs, gas station mini-marts and large discount department stores without the need for store personnel for assistance. The "INTELLIGENT" phone also displays to the caller in real time how much calling time is available during and after each call is made so that the caller is always aware of how much time remains. Merritt Jesson, further stated today that "we are receiving a very positive response to selling pre-paid cellular though vending machines and we see tremendous retail opportunities for DebitFone vending." Business experts project significant growth in pre-paid wireless phone service as a recent article in Investor's Business Daily stated "Pre-Paid Wireless is expected to reach 12 million users by 2006."
