W.B.Michaels, Unearned Arrogance. You seem to classify the Me Generation as including everyone in the age group 20-40. I have been able to ascertain you are a good person and certainly did not raise your children or relate to your grandchildren in that manner.

But remember your GENERATION raised them. Why are they that way?

I sure don't want a " REAL WAR " (yours probably Korea or maybe Vietnam if you were a career OFFICER-though neither one of those were declared) to teach them a lesson that their parents should have taught them.

You're hanging out with the wrong crowd, WB. I just went for a "ride along" with my next door neighbor, who recently got promoted to sergeant in the San Jose Police Dept. His team consisted of 25-30 year olds, and were the politest young men you could possibly meet (most of them beginning investors). Of course, as a doting parent, I consider my own children and their friends to be as nice as one could hope for, and light years ahead of your generation and mine.

Maybe you can explain what one has to do to earn the right to be arrogant? Imho there is never justification for arrogance.
