THE SEAL PROGRAM
Companies in the Business Ethics Bureau Reliability Program make a commitment to high levels of ethical business practices and customer satisfaction that are not required by many other seal programs. Companies in the Business Ethics Bureau Online Reliability Program commit to work with their customers and the Business Ethics Bureau to resolve disputes that might arise, including going through a mediation process. Once the Business Ethics Bureau determines that a member appears to be in good standing may be permitted to display the Ethics Bureau SEAL on their advertisements, company stationary, and Web sites. To be in good standing, a company must agree to adhere to the Business Ethics Bureau Membership Standards, and Seal Use Rules and Regulations. If a BEBI "Best Business Seal" is placed on your Web site, you are required to agree to adhere to both sets of BEBI standards. To view both sets of the BEBI's Code of Ethics and Standards click here. Registered members that display the BEBI Seal on their Web site, are also required to hyper link the Seal to their BEBI Report. To be a registered member of the Business Ethics Bureau of Investigation, an applicant agrees to:
1.Voluntarily supply true and correct profile and background information to the BEBI. Complete their BEBI profile to the best of their knowledge and as factually as possible.
2.Freely give (and not withhold from any inquirer) their BEBI registration id number so they can view their company's BEBI Report.
3.Fulfill all business licensing requirements by applicable city, county, state and federal agencies and authorities.
4.Promptly respond to any and all complaints forwarded by the BEBI, and make a good faith effort to resolve all such complaints in accordance with generally accepted good business practices.
5.Cooperate with the Bureau in efforts to eliminate the underlying cause of patterns of customer complaints which the Bureau may call to the company's attention.
6.Cooperate with the Bureau's activities and efforts to promote voluntary self-regulation within the business's industry.
7.Be free from governmental actions which relate directly to the basis of its customer relations or fraud in the marketplace.
8.Refrain from using the name, seal or logo of the Business Ethics Bureau of Investigation for commercial, sales or advertising purposes in any manner not specifically authorized in writing by the BEBI (see BEBI Seal Use Policy).
9.Support the principles and purposes of the Business Ethics Bureau of Investigation, and not engage in activity that reflects adversely on the Bureau or its members.
10.Agree not to print BEBI reports. Printing and/or distribution of reports is a violation of the membership standards and copyright law. Company reports are to be viewed on screen only.
11.Sign the Registration Application and pay the appropriate dues and fees as set by the BEBI. Privacy Statement Code of Ethics

The BEBI asks that all registered businesses and non-registered businesses publish a Privacy Statement on their Web site. The BEBI enforces all privacy issues and complaints.
To become a "BEBI Best Business" and bare the "BEBI Best Business" award seal you must also agree to (optional):

2.Offer a minimum 10 day exchange policy on merchandise sold.
3.Publish your terms and conditions of sale on the back side of your invoice.

The Business Ethics Bureau of Investigation's goal is to promote ethical business practices. If a registered member is found to be in violation of the Uniform Standards of Membership, the Bureau reserves the right to cancel that member's registration without notice. The Bureau will then send an e-mail to the discharged company notifying them of this decision.
