K - I heard from a consultant who works with EBAY that they are currently setting up a Tandem Himalaya system for evaluation to replace the Sun UE10000 systems. The Himalaya has about 100 times the availability characteristics and can be configured to have equal or better performance than the Sun. I think it is the reliability that interests EBAY... CPQ provides uptime guarantees on the Himalaya systems that put the rest of the industry to shame - seconds per year. But an evaluation is a long way from a sale.
